Will AI Replace Human Teachers?
Can AI replace human teachers? Artificial intelligence is exponentially growing in almost every dimension of our lives. From healthcare to photography. From Travel guide to education; or consider any other area.
Many technocrats are afraid that soon A.I. will replace their jobs. And it is more visible as the time is passing. No doubts! AI and machine learning are going to replace almost every repetitive task present in today’s world.
Many employees will soon work as more than an assistant rather than actively participating in the task.
According to an article published in the Independent magazine, the primary role of transmitting knowledge will be soon replaced by the intelligent machines.
However, it doesn’t seem a reality that we won’t need any teachers for now. But we can rely on the fact that teachers will soon change their roles to more than a classroom assistant rather than a communicator.
The teacher is not just a communicator but also a leader which transmits values and develops a student in overall. That’s why it is hard to say what will be the actual role of a teacher in those days.
According to a leading university headmaster, A.I. based bots will teach with the pace of a student and will be able to check everything without mistakes.
This is an alarming situation for everyone who thinks subject knowledge is enough to become a teacher.
No! It’s not.
Soon, the internet will be full of good content (and free of course), which bots and machines can access, learn from and present to the students better than teachers.
It will be a worthy investment for teachers to learn to understand students and helping them mentally and emotionally.
What Can a Machine not Do [soon]?
Machines are good. They are great; Perfect, But they can’t-do everything a human can do. The same applies to a teacher.
The strength of human mind lies in his imagination. Tasks which involve thinking, emotion and creativity are far away to be done by machines.
Most of the tasks which require presentation, dictation, repetition, mechanical movements can be easily replaced by a machine. But works like understanding feelings, consolidating someone, creative work will be still done by the human.
Believe me or not. Agree with me or ignore. Soon, everything will be the reality of our lives.
Like social networks, Internet, and mobiles, this will happen soon.
Be better or get replaced…
